Most of our bags are built up. This one is stripped back.
We made it from Lagun, a full-grain pebbled leather from the French Tannerie Rémy Carriat. Full-grain means the natural surface is left intact — nothing sanded away, nothing corrected — so the pebbled texture and the character of the hide come through exactly as they are. No lining, no interfacing, no second skin hiding the construction. What you see is the leather, and what you touch is the leather. It's an honest bag, and it earns its character with use.
The straps and base are cut from the same hide in a deeper, structural weight, so the parts that carry the load are the parts built to take it. The pebbled grain gives the bag a quiet depth — a surface that catches light differently as it moves, and reads richer in person than in any photograph.
Inside, you'll find a single zip pocket. That's deliberate. It's there for the things that need protecting or are too small to trust to the open interior — keys, cards, a phone, whatever you'd hate to dig for. The rest is open by design: drop your essentials in and go.
Unlined leather lives differently than lined leather. It softens faster, slouches into your routine, and takes on the marks of where you've been. This isn't a bag that stays new. It's a bag that becomes yours.
